Today, thanks to a new form of birth control, I've now been having my period non-stop for six weeks. FML

Go with the flow (haha, get it?) But no, that is seriously awful.

Omg a girl I knew got the shot and had her period for 6mos. straight and was really depressed

Definitely talk to your doctor! That can't be good.

Implannon? I had it inserted last year and had a period for 6 months before I decided to have it removed. I feel your pain...

actuallly, people, if you're switching pills you're supposed to give it a couple months to normalize. hormonal birth control messes with your system. I stuck it out for three months, bled moat days, then switched to an IUD... which is convenient but also a total pain the ass. I feel you, OP. definitely switch!

Oh that SUCKS. My period is just ending today...

Try NOT being on birth control and bleeding for 2 months with clots the size of soft balls every 15 minutes every day! Then going ten more months still bleeding and having all sorts of tests done that show everything is NORMAL! Not all pills or shots will work for everyone. I had two depo shots within a month and I still bled. The myrena is shit for me, which has been in 3 months now and every doc I seen wont do anything for another 3 months. So before u go whining about the side effects of BC they all say it takes over a month to adapt to ur body! Could be like me with no cause at all!! No I wasn't on BC before it started and I'm healthy

Just because the dr. didn't find a cause for you doesn't mean there isn't one. Depending on everything your dr did you might want to consider seeing another one.

I've seen 5 different doctors and they all did tests and the results were the same. I do have common sense to go to different doctors thank u very much

I had that same thing.. I wasn't on birth control but bled to death daily with huge clots.. Soaking my pants like I was stabbed in the middle of stores.. Come to find I had hypothyroidism and it caused heavy bleeding and pollips that they only found with a small surgery called a D&C.. Ask your gyne to do one on you, they can scrape your uterine wall to make it stop then put you on a hormone controlling pill that will keep you from bleeding anymore.. It may not last for that was 4 years ago and I've had it again for the past 7 months.. But it maybe my implanon this time.. Sucks! I feel for you :(

Hate to hear that. Yaz did me that way. Take iron pills.

This same thing happened to me when I got an IUD. I had to have it removed. That may be an option for you.

I can't even imagine having my period for six weeks. What kind of birth control does that? I just had a baby and I'm about to have to get on birth control so I don't have another right away. You should probably switch what you're using.
