I had that but it was very small amounts and called spotting. But if it's a full on period, OP, see a doctor about it.

Jesus! That's when you stop taking your bc, use condoms, and definitely talk to your doctor! That's just not healthy or normal :/

There are other form of birth control. Like another person said, the shot being one of them. Then there is the rod (implanon) and the mirena. You can't just stop taking them. All of those will cause period-like bleeding for up to, but not limited to 14 weeks. Just saying. It all depends on what she is on.
