Today, the father of my unborn child told me he isn't sure he'll be able to make it to the birth, since there's no guarantee of when it will happen, so he can't schedule time off. This would be understandable if he actually had a job. FML

Even if he had a job he should still be be at his child's birth.

Way to pick an idiot to breed with. The stupidity! It's perpetuating itself!!!

Show it anyway

Who in their right mind will willingly leave their own kid simply for the fact that they reproduced with an idiot? I hope that when you finally mature you see how stupid that is.

Dump the child? Really? Also, what does marriage have to do with anything?

@26-Wow. Let me get this straight. So by your logic, because the babys daddy won't be present for the birth she should in turn not be present for the rest of the babys life?!? Common sense. Use it!

26, your logic sounds similar to the father's logic of this FML.

26 just went full retard. Never go full retard.

If she's not married, she should get an abortion because the guy is stupid? Yup. That makes sense...

Yeah, I also admittedly reproduced with a dumbass. Rather than taking your genius dump-the-kid route, I decided to take the even more genius be-a-kickass-mom route.

I'm pretty sure if he does get a job, and he tells his boss he's wife is giving birth, the boss MIGHT let him off. Lamest excuse for a soon-to be father ever.

Well, YOU slept with the loser, so ????

They wont take care of it, the government will take care of it. They didn't do that themselves, the government helped. If the government hadn't built the roads they would have never met.

YDI. You shouldn't have sex loser ass people with no job (an exception goes for someone who recently lost theirs and is actually ACTIVELY looking for one.) because even with birth control there is always a chance of pregnancy and clearly they aren't stable enough to handle any kind of responsibility.

Wow really? No job =no sex?? I recently find myself unemployed while having a child already, am still young enough to get pregnant, in a marriage where he has been gone 18 months now and I have to be mom, dad, housekeeper, accountant, personal assistant, Gardner, dog walker etc stuff that if u add the hours up that I work every day of the week and it is everyday no 2 days off at this "company"- equals minimum 2 full time 40 hr/week jobs but most times more by at least 4 hrs/day-does that mean I shouldn't have sex as I am not actively looking because I have already enough jobs and responsibility and chose to be the influence on my child over that of a stranger with different values and ideas of how my kid should be? These kind of statements are irresponsible on basis that not EVERY person w/o a job is not contributing to the greater good somehow and as I know there are many that do not some of us see what the world is becoming and choose to try and change it starting at home with our own children by being a parent that's not just an ATM but involved and guiding the next generation to make better choices?

Tl;dr We didn't need your life story ^^

That was absolutely retarded. Please reread the comment that you're trying to crush to make yourself feel better.

Sukiboo... That was the dumbest rant ever! There are plenty of stay at home moms and dads. I think they meant, not to hook up and date a loser who will get you pregnant with no resources or ambition to help raise their child.

#32, not having a job does not make you a loser. Also, where does it say that he didn't have a job when they conceived the child? It's entirely possible that he lost his job since they got together. And finally, it's kind of a double standard that mothers without jobs are called "stay-at-home moms" or some other BS, while fathers who don't have jobs are called unemployed losers. Not that you were necessarily saying that... I just doubt you would use the same argument against a stay-at-home mom. The real FML here is that he's stupid...

52- No, you shouldn't be having sex. Not because you don't have a job, but because your husband has been gone for 18 months, which I'm assuming is because he's in the military or something like that.

I say you kick his ass in gear and tell him he damn well better be there for the birth if he doesn't want to sleep on the couch for good...
