I'm the only person on the second floor. We have HIGHLY explosive chemicals in the labs on the first floor. I'd rather have a broken leg than blow up and die.

The decision was a bit premature. Smoke alarms falsely go off all the time. Bad move buddy!!!
the company should cover the insurance since their doors were jammed. fire Marshall would fine the shit out of them.
I smell a lawsuit.
Jammed doors? Sounds like the company has slacked in safety... consider reporting them.
It's like that episode of the office where Ryan burned the pita in the toaster and Michael freaks out over it
Sue the company's ass
Make that $0n*£@b!t€h pay for it!!! I don't just mean your medical bills. I think your pain and suffering should cost him too! I broke my ankle last year and I had a month in a cast, a month in a boot, and another month of physical therapy. I still feel a lot of pain sometimes, especially when it storms. I'm soo sorry you have to endure a broken leg. Its hell! I hope you have better luck with your recovery and less than I did.
You're a panic-prone fool. YDI.
Sue the hell out of the company. Seriously, it's their job to make sure their employees can get out safely.

I think I would have made sure there was clear and present danger before jumping out of a second floor window.
I respect your decision
