Today, I found out who my ex-girlfriend left me for. He is more successful than I am, and comes from a supportive and unconditionally loving family. He is bigger, taller, and 4 years younger than me. To add insult, I’m only 25 but this rich kid is in a band and plays guitar better than me. FML

In a way, YDI. It seems you were one of the idiots who had no backup plan just in case music didn't work out. But in another way, I respect you for attempting your dreams. Maybe try getting a stable job, and getting your life back on track, and one day maybe you could try again! Just keep a job, and another plan on the back-burner, just in case!

Well I admire you for sticking up for yourself like that, but if you plan to be that committed, you need to make sure that your band mates are as committed as you are. If you're going to make it in today's music industry, you're going to have to work non-stop and take advantage of everything you're dealt.

Ok, so you "are unemployed, STILL live with your parents, & can BARELY remember how to play guitar"..where are your "band mates" now, working or still living with their parents?...sounds to me like you were an idiot who wasn't really serious about music to begin with & thought everything would just "magically" work out. The fact that you can barely remember how to play, shows that you did absolutely NOTHING as far as music is concerned & NOTHING as far as life since you have no job & still live with mommy & daddy...they need to kick your ass to the curb & that'll force you to become something more than just the leech you've been so far.
