Dude, this sucks. I had bed bugs once cause half sister's mom is nasty and my sister didn't realize it. My advice is to put your clothes in the dryer for a few hours to kill the freaking things, then put them into an air right bag as soon as possible. Do not wait to do laundry, take showers everyday

Bed bugs only need to eat once a year to survive. They populate quicker than roaches. They are known to live in electrical outlets etc. they are usually seen right before dawn. Get fossil shell dust/flour (Diatomaceous Earth) from a garden nursery/center store. Exterminators charge up to $600 just to apply this. Use this once a month. I put it on my mattress. Got a mattress cover and put it on. My entire apartment complex became infested with bed bugs except for my unit bc I used this. and it will get rid of them.

I applied it everywhere and kept it on the borders of the floor

Never suffered from bed bugs but did have scabies once, had to wash all the clothes and sheets I’d been in contact with, and spray the mattress too, it was awful.
