Today, after spending 12 hours desperately searching everywhere I could think of, I'm forced to admit I left my wedding ring in the bathroom of the hotel suite we just spent our honeymoon in, on the literal other side of the planet. I am a dead man. FML

Contact the hotel, let them know when you were there and what room you were in. If whoever found it is a decent person, they would have turned it in. You may have to pay postage but I see no reason why they wouldn't be willing to mail it to you if they have it.

Buy her something nice like a cat tail butt plug. Then she might forget the wedding ring and instead of killing you she could use the butt plug on you.

call the hotel ask if they found a wedding ring in the room and ask them to mail it to you

Call the hotel. They might have found it while cleaning the room.

I’m sure there is a doppelgänger ring on this side of the planet that would be plenty enough convincing.

Dude, that sort of stuff happens at hotels all the time. Get on to them and they'll post it to you.

My dad has lost three or four over the course of my parents’ 28 year marriage. (My theory is that’s why men’s bands are relatively cheap compared to the woman’s rings.) I suggest doing what another person said - contact the hotel and ask. Pay postage to get it shipped back home. Hopefully your wife finds humor in it!

Not to pile on but...Rookie! My first marriage I let my wife talk me into a $1500 platinum men's ring. Not sure where that is now but she probably got it along with my dignity in the divorce. Roll around to marriage #2. I told the wife I would get my ring and hers. Titanium $12.99 (Twelve dollars and 99 cents, you read that right). I actually bought a backup for when I eventually lose the original. Lessons: 1. Don't by an expensive ring (for her or you) 2. If you are guy, buy a backup and keep it somewhere she can't find it. In my house that is the oven.

Ideally you've just married your significant other because they're someone's you decided you could trust and be vulnerable with. Be honest. Share how badly you feel about it. Mistakes happen - this one just especially sucks. My brother-in-law lost his wedding band in the Gulf of Mexico the day after the wedding! He and my sister still laugh about it. I've even left my engagement ring behind on a counter at work after washing my hands, though I got that back. It will be okay in the end whether you get it back or not, and whether or not your spouse is understanding. I promise!
