I got a pair of glasses, in my prescription and size WITH the lenses that turn into sunglasses outside for about $80 and a pair of basic, no-frills glasses in my prescription and size for $8. Ahhhmazing. They aren't high end, but they do the job and are pretty cool looking.

I feel ur pain OP my teacher failed me because he directly said I was too poor to afford school. I failed bcuz I needed glasses, food, and transprtation. I actually slept at school to survive the semester. And I live in Canada:(

Ah, that sucks. You should apply for foodstamps, OP. That way if it happens again you can pay to get them fixed and still be able to buy food. Based on your situation you can get hundreds of bucks worth in foodstamps each month.
