Karma... it's a bitch Lucky you even got a brand new car. My first car was a 94 grand cherokee that I wrecked at 6 a.m. because of a deer, now I drive an 88 Wrangler. I bought both of my Jeeps myself merely geting $1000 loaned and paid back to my parents. You snuck up and planned to ruin a suprise, you wouldn't have even known it was wrecked if you hadn't tried to ruin your parent's work. not FYL, YDI
It actually is a pretty big FML to be getting something that is a big deal, like a new car, only to have it ruined in some way. I'm sick of how every time someone posts an FML like this, all the people who are jealous as hell and would react the same way go on about how she didn't deserve the car/is spoiled/deserves having her car ruined, just because they never got a gift like that. We get that your parents are poor, so are mine, get the f over it.
You should be more sad that your dad is retarded
Ouch! HAHAHA, it's okay. For my 16th, my dad surprised me with a car that he had run into the previous Christmas. It was his sisters and he ran into the front of it with his huge truck, denting and breaking the headlight!
to number 68, your an idiot. the point is that she's complaining about her dad crashing the car, our point is that the spoilt brat is lucky enough to get a car at all!
This isn't a FML. Nobody at the age of 16 deserves their own car. My cousins turned 16 last year and I'm hella scared knowing they live close by. My sister got her license, demanded to borrow mine, got it and hit a car. Heck, I'll admit that a year after I got my license, I bumped into a car in the parking lot. My 16th bday was spent at the funeral of my neighbor/friend/classmate who got hit by a lady talking on her cell phone. She was driving. He was jogging.

not really a fml you have parents who would buy you a car for your birthday and i really doubt they wouldn't spend the money to fix it up for you
What your dad probably should have done was just park it in the garage or driveway, rather than drive it into a street lamp. Now it's all banged up...
