Today, we had a speaking assessment in Spanish class. When it was my turn, I yawned in the middle of a sentence, said "excuse me" and finished my sentence. She took points off because I hesitated and I spoke in English, not Spanish. FML

I don't usually use my grammar nazi powers on FML, but this is one of my pet peeves. It's *should have* or *should've* NEVER *should of*

I'm going go have to say YDI, my teacher would've done the same thing if I didn't say it in Spanish, it's a Spanish class after all, that's why my class is 100% in Spanish

Wow, you do NOT deserve that. I have one of the most hardcore Spanish teachers ever and even he doesn't do anything like that. (But honestly, next time just say 'Lo siento' or 'Perdon'. Best to avoid another situation like that.)

Yawning in the middles of a test? Are you taking antidepressants?

They lower the grades in America for hesitation pauses? That's a good system

Should've said in Spanish. It's not that hard. YDI

I’m gonna let this one slide, since it’s pretty much habit to say “excuse me.”
