Because I won't let anyone drive drunk, no matter who it is. And it's cheaper to drive them home as opposed to paying for a taxi.

This happened to me once. I didn't drive the bitch home. She had left a few personal items in my car and I threw them under a tire and backed over them on my way out of there.
Honestly guys, op was probably upset. Maybe he was trying to be nice? I would still drive them back because I'd obviously like that person even if the first date didn't work out. It's not meant to be, give them a ride and move on. I doubt anyone agrees with me, but I don't see anything wrong with him driving them home.

I would have dropped them off in the middle of nowhere so they couldn't drive and had to call a cab or at least a friend. But at least you saved someone's life.
I think it was good that OP drove them home :/ Drunk people can get themselves killed pretty easy and/or kill other people with good lives (through drunk driving etc)... Nice one op :)

You shouldn't let people take you for a free ride like that, OP.
you all are trashing on OP because he drove them home instead of letting them drive. I know for a fact most drunk people will not care for a taxi and will attempt to drive home, so if he were to put them in a cab he would have to pay. so saving himself the cash he drove them instead of letting them drive and potentially getting them both killed. OPs a pretty good guy for doing that and his EX obviously didn't deserve him.
