I'm so sorry for your loss and that your girlfriend told you that. I usually don't condone not coming clean about cheating but this would have been a scenario where it was best left unsaid.

Worse would have been after marriage: "Hey, remember your brother that died...? Now I'm divorcing you and I want half your stuff." But I agree; a funeral is one of the worst times for her to confess what she did, especially since the OP is already in an emotional state.
