Hmm... on the one hand, you have to make an example out of that kid, and FAST! If the monkeys saw the kids do it and get away with no punishment, then they'll try it also. Monkey see, monkey do, after all. On the other hand, there'll probably be a whole set of new problems for you if you retaliate against the kids. Either way, you're in a crappy situation.

Why not keep the cages clear of poo and anything they can throw, to give the monkey no choice?Just keep a tree or so, then some very very heavy logs and rocks on the ground.
