FYL, sorry that happened. But at the same time, I'd be more concerned about about that growth than the embarrassment. I'd probably go get that checked out, if you haven't. If the leak and smell were that noticeable, it doesn't sound too good to me.

Why would you not have gotten that attended too before your public display. Why leave it that long. Plus did you try to squeeze it before the day. You may have saved yourself some smelly oozy trouble if you had.

Please go to the doctor. It sounds like you have an abscess, which means you need antibiotics. Much worse things than embarrassment can come from ignoring abscesses or other "bumps" on limbs! (Google necrotizing fasciitis for true grossness.)

If it was that big, you probably should've gotten an extraction. You can get a nasty infection. I'd suggest getting it looked at by a doctor still. If it's a cyst, it'll come back unless the sack is removed.
