Today, while home from college for the weekend, my sister started whining about how I keep using "big fancy college words" and making her feel bad. My sister is 27 and teaches elementary school. The word I used was "ludicrous." FML

See, there you go again, using words like "elementary" and "weekend" and "school". Your sister is absolutely right. You really need to tone that shit down, professor.

My response would have been "it's ludicrous that you don't know what "ludicrous" means." If she can't figure it out from that I have no hope.

Get your sister a dictionary so she can update her vocabulary.

She's trying to put you down - she's jealous of you somehow. Feel sorry for her

I had a boyfriend that got mad when I told him he was inconsiderate. He got mad, I'm thinking he's mad because of what I said. Nope it was because, according to him, i keep using these big words that he doesnt understand. We were in high school, by then I figured we all knew what the word meant.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

South Carolina? I'm so proud we are dead last in education.

Maybe she was joking or she’s surrounded by so many kids all the time it’s weird for her to hear “college words.”
