I've had drunk people hand me random stuff to pay for their goods (I'm a cashier at a minute mart) like receipts, club cards, business cards... I think in the moment people become oblivious to what they're doing. I'm sure it didn't help that the customer was most likely under the influence of ganja and excited to get GTA V. Why blame the medicine for stupidity, when stupidity is a much more common affliction?

Why do you need to show an ID to buy the game anyway? If its just to prove you're over 21 then it should work since you need to be over 21 to get medical marihuana.

You can use it as cash I believe. I've been on fs in the past and it has that option on it (at least in Ohio) to use it as a cash option

Sure it does 21. It varies from location to location, but in the US, in v most states it is a valid ID card issued by the state with a picture and date of birth, it "proves" his age just as much a a driver's license with the same info does. I understand it is not exactly the same issue, but state law in my state is any Id with those two items AND issued by the state or federal government is both acceptable and required to be accepted if presented when purchasing alcohol. we also just legalized medical marijuana starting next year so in the next 12 months it could be fairly common occurrence here.

Back when I worked for an insurance agency, a guy came in to pay for the month, and as he pulled the money out of his wallet, some loose marijuana fell out on the counter. He just ignored it like nothing happened.
