Today, while in the prison I work at, I came down with severe digestion issues. Master control probably laughed as they watched me wait at the security gates in a cold sweat, squeezing my ass-cheeks together like an inmate smuggling contraband. FML

To answer a few questions: 1. I did make it to the bathroom. 2. Cameras are everywhere in a prison, see from all angles, and have incredible resolution. 3. From my post I have to go through a door which requires pushing a button, identifying myself to master control and waiting for them to release the lock. Then two crash gates where the operator can see me through the glass, then two more doors like the first. That's if I'm in the D-space and not the day room doing rounds, which would involve two more doors. No two doors in any corridor can be open at the same time, so I have to wait for each to close before the next can open.

Actually, I work in county. Our local jail is a separated unit within the state facility because they contracted us for it. I do have a serial killer in a seg cage, though. He needs to be sentenced for escaping another facility. I'm not a correctional officer, just a security technician. My husband is an officer. Everyone is trying to convince me to go into the academy, though.

that must have been embarrassing but I'm sure they understand they'll probably tease you for a long time to come but not as long as if you hadn't made it to the bathroom

Sorry that sucks. I work at a jail and I hope that doesn't happens to me at work. I have to go trough a bunch of doors as well and sometimes control is not on top of the buttons. :/

I can only picture OITNB and the female guard that Kaputo crushes on. I'm assuming you made it to the bathroom in time. and don't feel too bad.. we've all been there :)
