Today, while letting horses out to switch pasture, one ran at me, sending me through the electric fence and into a mud puddle. Wrapped in electric fence, I sat in that electric mud puddle, screaming every time it shocked me. Help arrived, once they'd had a good long laugh. FML

You should have swung the lead at the horse that would have stopped it.

You're an idiot. They won't run you over. You have to stand your ground, make a loud noise, and look them in the eye. Works every time....I promise. Acting scared, running, or remaining quiet show them that you're afraid of you and that they can bully you. Look into the psychology of horses, it will prove fruitful in your line of work. As a fun-fact, did you know that you can lunge a horse only using eye contact? Once I learned how, it became a very useful tactic.

I know that feeling. I have three ponies and one of them is A WILD BEAST. Not kidding. Anything that isn't a sheep or a human or another horse or pony, he kills. He hates me and my mom's dogs that herd the sheep...
