Today, while looking through a stack of possible pictures for Facebook, I found one I really liked, until I noticed that I have recently developed a bald patch. Problem? I am a 22 year old woman. FML

Perhaps you should smell your shampoo to make sure no one replaced it with Nair.

I had that in high school and when I got into college they finally diagnosed me with Alopecia Areata. You should look it up, you might have that. They put me on allergy medicine to help and so far I haven't gotten one since.

none of the suggestions above will work except temporarily. genetics overpowers all. ydi for not choosing better parents.

Anyone who describes themselves as a 22 year old "woman" is obviously lying about their age.

hey girl, me too, but i'm 17, yeah, fml just wait it out, it's called alopecia aerata, it will grow back, take iron supplements and go see your dermatologist, they'll give you shots with steroids in them that will make the hair grow back

Yeah you really should go see a dermatologist. It could be alopecia areata, wich is in most cases a temporary disease, lasting a few years, but it will pass faster with steroids; or it could be a yeast infection on your head wich is easy to cure with cream and special shampoo; or it could be that you're losing hair all over because of anemia or stress or anything; or a number of other causes. Massive hair loss in a young woman is in most cases not just genetic baldness.

oh shit. well dont worry about it too much its probably from lots of stress, so try not to think about it. if worst comes to worst then just shave the rest off and get a hair piece.

I'd see a doctor could be something bad if you duno the cause, stress don't help!

Make sure you are eating enough, people with anorexia have hair loss.
