Today, while my orthodontist was working on my teeth, she made the comment, "Wow! It looks like a murder scene in there!" FML

It just seems as if every time I hear the word dentist, blood is not far behind

"Yeah, the dismembered finger really adds to the atmosphere." *CHOMP*

You can be nice and ignore it.. Or Be rude back.. Say, I can close my mouth, but what do you do about your face..

Although the orthodontist made a joke, OP should just stay quiet instead of saying something mean in return. Some people take things too seriously and OP wouldn't want to offend somebody who obviously has the capability to mess with OP's mouth

Always care for your teeth like they're the most important thing in the world, because once they're gone, they're gone.

"See, doctor, that's something you should say inside your head, not out loud."

It may have been unprofessional to say however now maybe you will take a bit better care of your teeth

The hell did you do to your teeth 0.0

Was this before or after she used the prison shank?

For all we know the orthodontist may have meant how crocked the teeth could have been, maybe the OP was there to get braces or something? It may have been something totally out of their control, teeth growing ontop of each other, growing crocked, there's a list of problems the orthodontist could be talking about. On the other hand it could be OPs fault for not brushing or taking care of their teeth but we can't be so quick to judge and assume

This is just my opinion but a murder scene would lead me to believe blood was involved... and from personal experience, blood is very common when dentistry is involved! They do pull teeth (causes bleeding) and often poke around a little too much (causes bleeding) or simply manage to tear the mouth when working in it (causes bleeding) so save the judgement towards OP until follow up!

I find that dentists (and orthodontists) tend to have some of the worst bedside manners. Dentists and surgeons.
