maybe there's a lesson here showing you've got what it takes to rise all by yourself from the "muddy" state you're in. sunny days will come :)
Oh that is awful - I live where you live, I would like to think people would be more helpful. Sometimes people don't always know what to do, or think you are ok. As #10 said, the bystander effect is quite powerful. It sucks OP and is a really bad day, I wish you all the best with everything OP, counselling can be really useful, as can medication. Listen to some good music, Bad Day by Daniel Powter, or Falling by Kate Rusby, or No Way by AVPS (A Very Potter Sequel) - it won't fix things but it might help a bit. And be good to yourself. We are like batteries and sometimes we have no energy. Other times we have some but use it up getting out of bed or cycling or conversing with someone, and then need to recharge. I think it is so amazing that you got out of the house and went to your counselling appointment. Please be good to yourself, get yourself some hot chocolate or something (Waterstones in Oxford has great coffee too) and take care.
The AVPS song is good if you are feeling down and need some motivation to go to your counselling session, or feel like life is getting you down.
It sounds like you are in a Comercial for depression
The same thing happened to me. It was so scary. Except I just fell over sideways. Thank goodness I had a helmet on. Always wear a helmet kids! Sending love your way op. I'm sorry that you have depression. I'm glad that you're working through it! Sorry this comment is too long now
At least you ca say your day was sh*t when you talk during counselling.
The first part sucks and I don't mean to be rude, but aside from someone asking if you are okay, what exactly did you want the people to do? You didn't say the laughed at you or took pictures/filmed it, so it sound like they didn't contribute to the problem. Aside from embarrassment, they don't seem all that relevant.
While I would stop to ask if OP was ok & in need of any help, I'd still stay out of the muddy water myself otherwise (unless it's a life-threatening situ) to watch, offer any advice, & wait until OP's back on the bike & riding away. Sorry, OP; just being honest.... --Also "Challenged for Life" by Dep & MHE in General
When I had counselling for my depression, my counsellor gave me a copy of the poem 'The Guesthouse' by Rumi. I really recommend it. You'll come out the other side OP x
That does suck but no one is going to help you in life you just gotta get back up and keep moving forward
Sounds like you've been ignoring those calls from the dark side of life and now it's found you, as a rainstorm.

I hope your day got better OP! Sometimes bad things happen but you just have to dust yourself off and keep your chin up.
Life has its way of giving us a rude awakening sometimes. Hope for the best but expect the worst.
