Well that's what you get when you touch something that isn't yours. Clearly you're not trustworthy.
People with scalp/skin problems, people allergic to cheap shampoo, and people who want their hair to look nice since cheap shampoo sucks.
Two things here: 1) if your roommate can spend $ 60 on a shampoo. Why'd he/ she share an accommodation with someone. Can't they afford to live in a studio or own a small house? 2) if they did decide to share they should be careful bout their expensive stuff & not leave them in public access area(s) like bathroom.
1. OP and OP's roommate are most likely in college, hence being roommates. 2. OP's roommate probably uses prescription shampoo because they have psoriasis, bad dandruff, or allergies to cheap shampoo. 3. Why should OP's roommate be forced to hide their bathroom items? Bathroom items belong in the bathroom, and OP's roommate should be able to keep them in there without worrying about OP being a dick and using it after OP promised they wouldn't.
Plot twist: my roommate is a guy.
dude who buys a $60 shampoo?
Seriously though, don't leave valuable items in a communal space. Her fault. Although you should respect her belongings
It's only the cap. Don't sweat it, unless a bunch of shampoo spilled out I don't think it's such a big deal.
This is why we can't have nice things!
