Conversations about something as important as ones substance abuse really should be done face to face. Unless you were texting about a time to talk in person? Anyway, I do hope your husband gets help.
Texting someone may be easier sometimes, however, when it comes to a serious conversation about a complicated subject (especially with your spouse of all people) if you can't face them and talk to them about it, them you may as well not be together. Part of being in a relationship is being able to confide in your lover/soulmate. A serious issue through text messages? Becomes not so serious to the person receiving the messages... Try being an adult and facing your husband....
