If you're going to do that, make sure your phones on silent.
If you don't know how to put it on silent before doing such an act you should atleast try this little thing called "fake texting".
I don't think she was going out of her way to get him to notice her. I think she did it in case he noticed she was there and, even though she was by herself, she was probably self conscious of him being under the impression she was lonely, which she could have been. I know I wouldn't want to cross roads with my big ex if he was in a group of people an I was by myself. I wouldn't really want him to do that thing people do where they think they won the break up or whatever. I wouldn't want him to think my life was better when we were together and probably be a douche about it, which is something he would have done. Maybe this persons ex is the same way? Or maybe she got on her phone so he wouldn't try to talk to her?
