I feel your pain OP my parents threw away my baseball, football, hockey card collection from the early 1900's it was worth millions I had original Mickey Mantle's, Babe Ruth you name it, when I freaked out and told them what it was worth they beat the s*** out of me for not selling them to pay off the house I was only 12 at the time but if I had been older I would've called a lawyer and the police
Mate i would be suing them for stealing. What they did was wrong. I wouldve told them off for it, like my parents wouldn't be very happy after it. At least my parents have an interest in sci fi which is good. I feel really bad mate. Best ve suing and getting your parents to come up woth that 20 grand.
That's grand theft if your calculations are correct. You could have them arrested, or bill them for the money you lost.
I'm tired of seeing this one and its variations.
sue them
OMG that's horrible! My parents say I'm too old for toys but they'd never go behind my back and get rid of them (yes, I have quite the collection too). I am so sorry, OP. :'(
This actually made me feel sick. I’m so sorry you had this happen to you.
Why are you still living at home? And you never once told your parents they were collectibles?

Pay back is a bitch. Remember this sad event...When you pick out a nursing home for your folks....
Why would they go through all the trouble of opening them if they were going to donate them? Sorry for your loss by the way.
