Toxic workplace goals!

Today, I walked out of a job interview feeling confident because I'd really hit it off with the interviewer. He called me an hour later to tell me that I didn't get the job, since he was afraid we'd "get along too well and never get any work done." FML

I would have gone back and slapped him across the face and said we aren't friends and that I want the damn job.

Oh gosh, this goes up there with "you're too experienced."

really... thats why you should work there.

"Next on 1000 ways to die, " A disgruntled applicant cut off his interviewers hand, doused him in gasoline and set him on fire ! Why you may ask , because the interviewer wanted to be friends instead ."

Did the interviewer ask you out after telling you about the job?

At least you were told that you're likeable and a nice person to be friends with

To anyone who thinks that this person SHOULD have gotten the job, most companies have a professional relationship only policy. When going to an interview, yes you should make the interviewer like you, you should not however make them like you so much that they want to be your best friend or more. Try to sell to them that you are a good worker more than the fact that you are a good person that they'd hit it off with. You are there for a job, not a friend.
