Sorry, but eww! I am very squeamish about feet. However that is not really relevant... YDI for neglecting the fact that your feet needed attention sooner a chiropodist could have seen to this if you are physically unable to do so and this could have caused a lot of pain. However you did not deserve to be treated like that, it could have been a lot less embarrassing if the pedicurist mentioned that your feet had been neglected for a while and he was in the middle of training new staff so would it be possible for him to demonstrate how to tend to them properly.
