Today, my doctor told me my asthma was being triggered by my dad's smoking. He wrote a note to my dad, asking him to refrain from smoking while around me. My dad took one look at the note, then threw it in the trash, saying the doctor "doesn't know what he's talking about." FML

I've got the same problem with my dad

That totally and completely horrible. I'm sorry. ):

I hope he gets nominated for the Darwin awards. What a moron.

You NEED to throw away all the cigarettes you can find from your dad because your life is more important than his selfish dependency on tobacco. At the very least it will keep this @$$hole from damaging your health.

u should tell another adult especially since it is affecting u'r health

I feel so bad for you! My Dad stopped smoking ages ago because he didn't want to harm me or both my brothers health. My Mum unfortunately took longer to stop smoking, but we helped her. She always smoked outside because she didn't want to damage our health.

you know what'll change his mind? kicking his ass.

I had a father in law who treated my (then girlfriend / now ex wife) like that about 30 years ago. He compounded the problem by hosting card parties full of chain smokers. I used to spray his smokes with windex when he wasn't looking and put them back. I nevertold anyone. Not even my girlfriend.
