You were only 45mins away from Florida... Hope you went back. Of course thats considering you didnt give away wherever you were staying or didnt already move back home. And of course only go back if you really want the job. Good luck :)
Its only a 45 min drive back not too bad, at least it wasnt 17 hrs 45 mins into your drive, if it was a job offer it'd be more of a FML, but its just an interview, doesnt guarantee you a job. Still GL thou
Turn around and head back for that interview - after nine months without a job you have to grab this opportunity while it's there .
It is typical no to hear call backs for mths. In future plan that you may not get call backs for up to 4 mths. As salary increase the delay should increase by a mth for every 10k. So plan on delays based on every 10 to 20k- industry dependent. Call it a lesson learned and go back and get your gig. I would interview then continue home until final offer. So drive or fly up for each interview until you land your gig! Good luck.
Not everyone has the money to travel back & forth.
I haven't much sympathy. I just moved back from Florida. After 14 months, the only job I could find was hellish and the pay caused me to go broke. I left my fiancé, cat, and dog. The only thing I got was a speeding ticket 18.5 hours into my 19 hour drive.
So... F your life for finding a job?
