Uncertainty

Today, my parents bought me a wine glass with "Who needs a man?" painted all over it. Cute, until after dinner my mom looked me in the eyes and asked with complete sincerity, "Kara, are you gay?" My parents tried to get me to come out. I'm straight. FML

My parents ask me the same thing almost every week... I'm straight too :(

Yeah, FYL for having parents who are accepting about that. /sarcasm All you had to say was "no" and that's the end. Be thankful you don't have those parents who would disown you if you were.

Not really an FML - it sounds like your parents are tolerant and supportive and that situation was probably averted in a matter of seconds.

LMAO. #9 is completely right.

Yeah... this is so something you should get over. An eye-roll situation, not an effed life situation.

I agree with people who say that you should be glad that your parents would've accepted you if you were gay. My mother doesn't and it sucks bad.

I hope none of my friends who read this site think I posted this.

ah well they are only trying to look out for ya but that does suck

A- you have an awesome name. B- my parents have done the same thing, i'm straight too. C- why is it that parents assume if you're not whoring yourself around during your teenage/early adult life, you must be homosexual?
