At first I though you where a girl from your name, maybe your style of writing. Maybe grow some balls and be a man? You will never achieve anything in life being a sissy.
I really hope #12 was a troll.
It sounds like you have parents who love you whether you're gay or straight and were just trying to help you come out... OK, they got it wrong but their heart was in the right place. And it could have been worse, they could have tried to get you to come out by singing "If you were gay" from Avenue Q
Hey, one of my friends is named Kara! But she's gay, so I'm guessing you're not her... And to echo everyone else - it might have made for an awkward moment, but at least you know your parents love you no matter what.
At least they're supportive? I don't really see how this is an FML. You found out you have parents that care about you and are accepting of you? Poor you! SOME of us aren't so lucky. :| My sympathy for you is limited.
u realize there is nothing wrong with being gay and besides... seeing as it was a 'who needs a man' one, i assume they thought lesbian. and believe me, lesbianism in general is more accepted than male homosexuality (again: dont get me wrong: i support the rights of the LGBT community)
Why is it always that the heterosexual people have supportive parents, but those who are actually gay often don't? That's what it seems like on fmylife.com.

My parents ask me the same thing almost every week... I'm straight too :(
Yeah, FYL for having parents who are accepting about that. /sarcasm All you had to say was "no" and that's the end. Be thankful you don't have those parents who would disown you if you were.
