How is that abuse!??! His parents have payed for most of his degree and have let him live at home. Clearly he's not paying rent. He should have gotten a job during that time and saved up. As he had no expenses you'd think he'd have savings. He could get a job like EVERY OTHER STUDENT and go into dorms. Most people don't have help from their parents. Judging by the timing if the post the OP was asked to help out (during a break) or leave. His parents didn't have to help him at all yet they've payed for most of his degree. He should get a job and stop complaining about his poor parents just because they asked him to help. Even if they kicked him out and are refusing to pay anymore he only has a year left and should get over himself!
They payed for most of his degree and let him live with them during it. Judging by the timing of the post I'd say he was asked to work for free and help out during the break or be kicked out. If his parents have payed for everything then did he not have a job ever? Doesn't he have savings? Lots of people don't have help from there parents and still go to college! Why can't he? He only has to pay himself for ONE YEAR! He should consider himself lucky!

He's a terrible child!
Your parents are twats
No offense to you.... but what SHITTY parents you have!! Most parents want their child to have a better life than they did. It's almost UNHEARD OF for a parent to WANT their child to struggle and essentially FAIL at life. Sorry OP. Stick to your guns, maybe they will see the light soon. I'll send up a prayer!
You aren't very bright. "Drop out" means they want him to stop going to school and work for them for free- that is exploitation. They held OP's housing over them, and kicked them out when they're attempt to exploit them backfired. You also are assuming that OP DIDN'T have a job, when the wording implies that OP's parents were trying to make them work FULL TIME- as in, with no time for schooling- for FREE, when they very well could have already been working part time at the family store or full time elsewhere. They also are implied to have did this without warning or discussion- and again, did it in a way that is straight up an attempt to exploit their child after they likely acted as if their was no need for returned payment. You honestly sounds like someone throwing a bitch fit because people are criticizing something you plan on doing to your own children or already have done, or you otherwise have a case of the "well I did it so everyone should have to!" Get over yourself and your ****** up moral compass.
I'd reccomend icicles. Self-destroying evidence.

No offense but your parents are idiots
well your parents are assholes. no real parent would do that, a real parent would make sure you graduate college and get a better job in order to be more successful then them.
