everyone needs an outlet
and it only takes just a few minutes
Depending on your age you may be able to qualify for a loan without a co signer
Okay, c'mon. How did this person deserve this??
Op doesn't, but the parents deserve whatever hell that karma throws at them.
They payed for most of his degree and let him live with them during it. Judging by the timing of the post I'd say he was asked to work for free and help out during the break or be kicked out. If his parents have payed for everything then did he not have a job ever? Doesn't he have savings? Lots of people don't have help from there parents and still go to college! Why can't he? He only has to pay himself for ONE YEAR! He should consider himself lucky! What did he do to deserve a free pass? He wouldn't even work for his parents because they weren't going to give him even more money
The parents chose to have him and they should support him. Even if they are going through a bad financial situation, they should have discussed it with OP and try to find a solution together. Not abandon their child when he is working towards a better life with no warning and very limited options. Dear Karma, I'm sorry your parents don't love you.
I can't believe that they wanted you working at a gas station instead of working towards a degree. I looked up information on this and if you are under 18 (don't know if you got accepted early or anything) it counts as child abandonment. It can result in jail time. Usually I would never say use it against your parents but you need a home and if they aren't willing to see to your needs then go to the police.
Take out loans and use the loans to move into an apartment. it's very common, and with only one year left your loans would probably only be 10 grand, which in the grand scheme of things is really nothing. That's less than a car payment. You can do it, I promise.
how you have phone
But...but...if you drop out of school to work for free for them, that means you'll never be able to do anything else but work for them... Oh, I guess I figured it out. They realized that keeping you an indentured servant for life and just giving you food and board will cost far less than having actual employees.

No offense but your parents are idiots
well your parents are assholes. no real parent would do that, a real parent would make sure you graduate college and get a better job in order to be more successful then them.
