Today, my girlfriend of eight years explained to me that the Egyptian pyramids were built by aliens from Mars. I have a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Anthropology, and I'm working on my Ph.D. She thinks I'm an irrational idiot for telling her she's wrong. FML

Today, I found out that one of my colleagues believes that aliens built the pyramids. No amount of logical reasoning or evidence has had any effect on his argument of, "but you can't prove they didn't." FML

I also learned that the notebooks she's been writing in for the past three years aren't for her "doctorate in literature" as she had told me, they were notes on my behavior for the past 3 years. FML

Wow. Some people are crazy... OP, are you sure she was serious? Its quite possible you did something to piss her off and now she's just trying to be annoying. If not, just go with it - everyone is entitled to their own beliefs - unless the creator of the pyramids is a huge personal issue for you.

LOL funny Transformers 2 reference. Like the OP, I'm an Anthropology major, and I literally started to cry during that movie when they were destroying all of those ancient monuments. The needless waste .... not funny to play an archeologist like that, not funny at all, lol.
