Today, my girlfriend of eight years explained to me that the Egyptian pyramids were built by aliens from Mars. I have a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Anthropology, and I'm working on my Ph.D. She thinks I'm an irrational idiot for telling her she's wrong. FML

Quickly got this off the internet, just takes you about 1 minute to stumble across the wonders of pyramids on the web. It's been a popular subject for a long time now and although I beleive there is a lot more to it then dumb luck I'm not going to go around promoting stuff like alien intervention or whatever, just because I don't know the truth. But here are a couple of things for all you non beleivers to think about: - Look up the size and weight of the stones these structures are build with, in the midle of the freakin desert... nuff said.. - Read some stuff on the positioning of the pyramids in relation to the stars, and be amazed! PS: Stargate FTW!!

To #73... They had these awesome things called BOATS that could carry stones along the river from a QUARRY. There are records of the exchanges in trade. Why is it easier to find retarded, incorrect information on the internet than it is to find reliable, peer-reviewed scholarly articles? EVERYONE - USE A GOOGLE SCHOLAR SEARCH, NOT JUST A REGULAR GOOGLE SEARCH. Not that hard NOT to be f*cking retarded, people.

God, you're a hard ass... I tried formulating my reply in such a way whiners like you wouldn't feel obligated to put up some enoying reply just to prove their intelectuality.. Yes, scholar.google.com is great, whoop die doo for you for being in uni to or at least knowing it exists.. But beleive it or not, there are truths beond the boundaries of commonly accepted mainstream beleifs.. Thank you #170 for making that point, because yes, they did transport the stones by boats, but they still had quite some ground to cover.. and don't forget, these projects had to be finished before the pharao died.. so time was of the essence.. And last but not least, idk if you're reference to bs internet info was about the stones or the positioning of the pyramids, but plz, just look on google scholar for info on the positioning of the pyramids... FML for sitting behind my pc, waisting my time on making a point to some random dude who is probably to hard headed to even read my reply..

yeah sure you might have some university courses but it doesnt mean you are very ******* intelligent. all this shows is that you seriously are an ignorant human being and you have absolutely no idea about anything you CLAIM to know about. Read Chariots of the Gods or if you can't read because you truly are that retarded, you can watch the documentary of the same name. It does not PROVE that they were created by aliens or something but it might give you some insight and help you become less ignorant.

FYI...people researching "Chariots of the Gods" have found all sorts of stuff that von Daniken got wrong; one big thing is the Nazca lines, which he claims were landing strips for aliens, but are on soft, irregular ground that would be one of the worst possible terrains for landing strips. In later books he was found out to have lied about visiting various places and talking to various people, and at one point he ended up doing jail time for fraud. I'd suggest you take anything von Daniken says with a grain of salt, and read "Crash Go The Chariots" for an alternative viewpoint.
