Today, my fiancé seriously used the war in Israel/Palestine to call off our engagement. We had different opinions, so he asked for the ring back and stormed out of our apartment. Turns out, he used this as a ticket out because he was seeing someone else and didn’t “wanna hurt my feelings” by confessing. FML

Today, I found out my ex just got engaged to a girl he met 3 months ago, shortly before he ended our 5 year relationship. His reason for breaking up was that he didn't believe in marriage and couldn't be with someone who wanted to get married. Right. FML

What an asshole. If he was bored of you, he should have broken off the engagement. No decent girl was going to pop up and get involved while he was engaged, and it's just cruel to you to continue a farce he never intends to finish.

What I can tell you is guys like girls who are mysteries, once he figures a girl out, unless she's really caught his eye, he gets bored. He wants things to be interesting.
