Who knows? Maybe OP was about to wake up. My parents sometimes wake me up 5 minutes before my alarm goes off!
why did the OP use quotes when they werent necessary?
^ my thoughts exactly
Um, maybe because if OP might have possibly NOT have had school, they might have been necessary to show how his/her dad was being an asshole about waking him/her up like that? I don't understand how that possibility seems to have evaded everyone's minds.
@83 That would explain why it was in quotes.

Show it anywayI think that's a bit excessive... There's a difference between water and burning hot coffee.
The lazy kid should wake up the responsible parents with scaling hot coffee. I don't see that working out well.
I would suggest not making any more suggestions
That's when a sham-wow comes in order.
At least he cares.
At least you weren't late.
would be even more funny had this been on a Sunday.
Wow what a world where some kid being lazy warrants a FML. I think the dad should post "my kid never gets up in the morning for school, he's always late. I've resulted to using water bottles" now I'm a bad guy because I don't want my kid to be a lazy bum, FML"
But a bottle of water? We don't know whether OP is being lazy - and the water would soak through the pillow and sheets quite possibly wasting more time as OP needs to dry it. What a horrible way to be woken up!
Kid needs to be at school learning how to comically use quotation marks. I agree we need to here from the dad instead.
This does not warrant an FML to me. When my little sister was in high school, she would ignore her alarm, and anybody who came in and told her to get her ass up, just to get those extra few minutes of rest. She was almost always late. In situations like that, teenagers deserve such things.
So true the only way that this could even be considered a FML is if it happened on a day where there was no school, like the weekend or summer vacation. My bet is that the op just didnt include all the information but he deserves it.
I don't see why people are automatically thinking the kid is lazy. Maybe they just overslept on accident. It happens. But the bottle of water was unnecessary. The dad could've just woke the kid up in a normal way.
"Resorted" to using a water bottle. Result is what happens after "resorting" to using the water bottle...lol
the stuff parents do to wake us up
OP: "Water you doing dad?"
"I'm tide of your attitude, kid."
My dad used a pitcher with ice water. You got off easy! It sucks, but it is an effective tool.
My dad used a 5 gallon pail when we were camping once.
