We met a lot later!

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - United States - Warsaw

Today, my co-workers figured out that I was in high school when my husband was in kindergarten. They won't stop calling me a "cougar". FML

That saying is just going to come with that territory, just go with it.

You were doing algebra while he was figuring out how to tie his laces

It's not as bad as it sounds. Don't let what others' think a about you, bother you. Age is just a number. My Dad is 18 years older than my Stepmom. At first it bothered me, but after I saw how in love they were, their age didn't matter anymore. To he honest, my opinion didn't matter either, and neither does your co-workers!

Age is most definitely just a number, obviously within reason and legality. My sons mother was 6 years younger when we met

As long as we're talking about two consenting adults, age really is just a number

44--- My Step-mom was a consenting adult when they met, so how does that mean jail time? 131-- I'm going to just go with a wild guess that if she was 6 years younger than him when they met, she is STILL 6 years younger than him now... :] Also, I definitely meant to say "to BE honest." Not he. ;]

That is a bit of a difference. But who am I to judge about that? My dad was in Vietnam when my mom was barely a toddler.

being called a "cougar" is better than being called a "cradle robber" do take it as a compliment

If it didn't matter before why should it matter now?

My mom and dad are 27 years apart and it's completely fine. I don't see why age should ever be a problem with any relationship unless it's like a 13 year old girl with a 30 year old man.

#22, and that's a 17 year difference. One of your parents was 30 when the other was 3!

As long as no one's doing the illegal *******, everything's cool. Except for gold diggers... that's kinda shitty... then again, those rich bastards bring it upon themselves.

My inlaws are 18 years apart and they have a perfect relationship, age is just a number

They got together when she was 32 and he was 50. It really is just a number depending on the maturity.

You're lucky that's all they call you, cradle robber. Ydi.

if OP is in love, then she's in love, it doesn't matter about age. I mean it is kinda unheard of, but she doesn't deserve them picking on her

No, it's not unheard of. It's actually quite common. Age is just a number when it comes to two consenting adults.

as long as you get along and feel good with one another, right?
