Today, my co-workers figured out that I was in high school when my husband was in kindergarten. They won't stop calling me a "cougar". FML

You were learning about Bio when he was taking his nap.

Why do so many people say YDI? That could potentially mean you're only about 7 years apart, which really isn't that bad once you're an adult. Isn't the 'rule' half your age plus 7?

She deserves to be called a cougar, which is not a terrible insult. Nobody's saying they shouldn't be together.

Obviously she dislikes it, which means it is just childish and rude to keep calling her that. No one deserves being called something they find annoying/insulting.

Pssh, they are just jealous. Usually it's the men that get the younger woman, you've snagged yourself a younger man. What you should do is sassily finger snap at your friends and remind them that you got more going on than they do!

If neither of you care, I don't see why what anyone else thinks matters. Just be happy!

Don't give a duck about what they say. My father is 20 years older than my mother. It's no big deal.

Same. My dad is 20 years older than my mum. And his son (my step-brother) was in the same year as my mum at high school. Mum didn't know about that until years after she married dad though. lol They get a lot of crap about the age difference, but they've been happily married for 23 years so they don't care. :)
