Today, I accidentally bumped into the fire alarm which set off a high pitched buzzing noise that could be heard throughout the entire dorm. It went on for at least two hours and none of the technicians could figure out how to turn it off. All the girls on my floor are mad at me. FML

The fire alarm is just a big button on the wall? Our dorm fire alarms required you to pull up then down so this wouldn't happen.

If it was in dorm, it was probably the plastic cover over the alarm and not the alarm itself. In which case, all you have to do is close the cover hard over the thing and it would turn the alarm off.

hahahah What fire alarm goes off when you "accidentally bump into" it? They are designed so they are not accidentally tripped.

how old is this building? all new fire alarms you have to do two things in order to set them off to keep this from happening
