Welcome home!

Today, my new subletter moved in. Within 6 hours, one of my cats took a dump on her pants. I freaked out, lit some candles to hide the smell, and threw her pants in the washer. When the cycle was done, I found her cell phone at the bottom of the washing machine. FML

ALWAYS CHECK THE POCKETS, gawd how old are you and how long have you been washing clothes?!

Just tell her your cats did it... oh wait.

YDI for not coming clean in the first place. If your cat ***** on people's things don't you think she has the right to know?

I'm assuming the poster is probably in college and renting an apartment with another person. The original roommate probably isn't staying through the summer, so someone else is staying there instead of her. You can either: a) Pretend you have no idea what happened and make her think she lost her phone. b) Be honest and pay for a new one. c) Burn the place down and destroy all evidence.

That's what you get for trying to hide it. You should have acted like you never saw the pants and let her find them. Better that the cat gets blamed then yourself.

Fyl that's horribleee That's why we don't have pets Fhl too. She shouldve seen this coming having a rommate with a pet

1) who does laundy without checking the pockets 2) Unless you didn't notice this for hours, there would have been no need to light a candle to hide the smell 3) if she had just moved in then why were here pants lying out on a floor/table in a common living area?
