Today, I met my mother's deeply religious fiancé for the first time. His response upon seeing me was to look me square in the eye and say, "You'll need to take out that nose stud or I'm afraid you'll not be welcome in our home." FML

I don't see what your nose stud has to do with religion, this guy sounds like a bit of an ass!

Why is this being thumbed down? 40 nailed it, cleverly.

Get rid of the nose stud -- sometimes free rent is worth the compromise.

He's joining their family. She shouldn't have to adjust her lifestyle particularly if she doesn't live at home. It's also just a nose stud. It's not like she's sacrificing cats

if he is going to kick you out because of a nose stud - he sounds very intolerant of other things.. be careful

He can't tell you what to do. And if you're an adult, you can tell him to go **** himself. He'd only be your stepfather.

OUR home? They're not even married yet. Tell him to **** off, it's your house too.

Technically it's the mom's house, and a real parent has much more say than any step-parent ever will.

tell him he must worship Satan or he's not allowed in your home, I hate overly religious people who judge others

To hell with him, hes not in control of you and cant tell you your not welcomed in your Moms home, its just not his house.

He better hope it doesn't resort to that. Those boys shoot first and ask questions never.
