🫂 It's a bitch. I used to be a martial artist, loved hockey, gymnastics, could beat the boys at most things (except peeing up a wall) but my lower spine started crumbling and other things started to build up... It's a hell of a kick in the guts that takes a lot to accept. You have to find your new 'normal'. For everything you can't do anymore, you have to find something to replace it with and learn not to hate your body. The anger and frustration will just eat you away from the inside and it achieves nothing (unless you are a masochist). You have to basically let yourself grieve your old ways and move on to new ones. It isn't easy but it's more than worth the effort.
Same happened to me when I got my Crohns diagnosis when I was 10. It was downhill from there. I'm 31 now and it's a constant battle for my health. Just stay on top of things as best you can. Good luck OP.
At least you don't have to inject yourself with expensive blood thinners that leave you as bruised as a domestic violence victim (three months was enough for me, Thank God). Like the other said, find your new normal, and love yourself.
