Today, we had a tornado warning and I told my parents I loved them, just in case. My dad just said, "See you in Kansas." FML

Your dad got it wrong. It's obviously supposed to be "See you in Oz", as he's coming from Kansas, not going to it. LOL JK I'm not that Logic Nazi-ish. ...But seriously.

There were tornado warnings today for me as well. The sirens were even going off. Glad you made it okay though. :)

hes either breaking the feeling of uncertainty with a joke or masking his own fear with a joke... either way dont take it so personally. what did you expect, a pre-emptive eulogy? its his way of trying to assert confidence in a positive outcome of your situation.
