Today, I was planning on going on a date with a girl I've really liked. She told me today was the only we could hang out before her trip. I got an expensive hair cut, planned on cooking her dinner, and pulled a few strings and got on the list for a big concert. Turns out she'd rather go shopping FML

home cooked dinner for first date? little too much for first date, she probably wanted something casual so you could both just talk and hang out for a couple of hours. Don't be so intense next time.

Live and Learn. I'm not normally the type to get all ****** up over girls but there was this one chick who was completely out of my league but was definitely feeling me. I mean this chick was like a 12 with these fake **** that were out of this world, gorgeous. Anyway...I didn't play it cool and that was that. Just got all ****** up about her and tried to make things just right and even though I had the best intentions girls just get weirded out by that.

If she's not into you to begin with, a bowl cut and some Mayday Parade isn't going to make it happen. Make sure it's a sure shot before you go dropping over $100, otherwise you're just spending your money to creep someone else. Thus, totally deserved.

Ok, so it sounds like you mistook what she wanted. She prob wanted to hang out with you and equated that with going shopping but you took it as "I wanna go on a date with you". If she just wants to do the whole shopping bit with you, she prob likes you only as a friend.
