9/11 wasn't that bad, a decade later and people still can't get away with jokes about it, yes it was a terrible thing but if you weren't directly affected then please shut the f**k up. If you've ever laughed at a holocaust or rape joke then stop bitching at others for making 9/11 jokes you scum.
Wasn't that bad? Where the hell were you? Sure there are worse things in our history that have happened, and I could name off a large number of them. But just because it wasn't the worse thing to have happened doesn't mean it wasn't "that bad". I don't put events in a measuring cup and determine they weren't very bad based on what volume they were in comparison to other events that might measure more. It was still bad, very freaking bad. I don't have to have been directly affected by 9/11 to have been shaken to the core. I feel for everyone who lost someone in the attack. Any traumatic event which causes deaths, no matter if it's 1 death, or 1 million deaths is no laughing matter. Guess what, I've never laughed at a holocaust joke, or a rape joke, or a pearl harbor joke, or hell, even a Civil War, or American Revolution joke. That crap isn't funny, 13 years, or 238 years ago.
Every American was directly affected by the ensuing Patriot Act, and multiple Executive Orders that systematically take our freedoms away under the guise of "homeland security"
56- Thousands of innocent people died. I don't care that I didn't know any of them, it was still a tragedy. They lost their lives, they were lost to their parents, partners, siblings, friends, children. Have some empathy. Also, no, I have never laughed at a holocaust or rape joke. They aren't funny.

I know it is an important history lesson and moment for our country... But if I get one more homework assignment asking what I was doing when it happened I will flip. I was 7. I was being a future **** and disgrace to our generation.
