Young un's nowadays prefer clinical terms, like they are talking to their doctor. I doubt ANY of them know what a vulva is! They use the generalization of "******" to avoid the soft & cuddly term "pussy".

I hope your roommate was more of the silent type instead of striking up a greeting conversation with you while shaving the pubes. That would be more awkward than silence in my opinion.
