Today, my 72 year-old Grandmother informed me she's running for mayor. She's been going around town with homemade signs all day, campaigning to win mayor. She lives in my town. My friend called me to ask if she was high. FML

so.. support your damn grandma. if she wants to run for mayor you should be getting everyone to vote for her & how's about helping your 72 year old grandma make some damn signs? tell your friend to get her head out of her ass not everyone is "high"

You should be positive and be glad that she is still here. I work at a nursing home and most of the people dont have family to come see them. If she makes it just more memories for you.

Agreed; this is really cruel. She's older, and probably wants to feel valuable again. She went through all kind of work to make signs, and all her grandchild is willing to do for support, is exploit her for FML, and make fun of her with his friends.

Also agreed....Also, think! How in God's green Earth is this an 'FML'? So your grandma is running for mayor, that's just..your grandma running for Mayor. My mother was my Science teacher, in High school, for two years; Freshman and Senior. She revealed so many embarassing moments ot my friends and peers. That, pesonally, wasn't FML-material, but it's more of a reason to post here than my grandma running for mayor. Seriously, if you wanna attention-*****, go back to MySpace.

Whatevs the mayor of Mississauga (Which is actually a city with a population of 70,000) not a town is like literally like 92 and has been elected mayor consecutively for 32 years... It's more like F your grandmas life if she finds out your reaction to something that may have been her dream for a while...
