Today, I was cuddling with the girl I've been seeing for the past few months. She was saying how much she liked me and how much I meant to her. Reciprocating those feelings, I asked her to be my girlfriend. It was a HARD no for her. Then she drove me an hour and a half home. FML

It seems to me that she is either playing hard to get (which would be a dumb move on her part), or she is horrible when it comes to using the correct words to convey her feelings and thoughts. Either way, props to you, OP, for your courage and even though it did not work out in your favour, at least you know to stop wasting your time on her (in a potential partner kind of way).

I've given up on that question. In the 2010s so many ladies react poorly to that question. We've been hanging out several days a week, texting every day, sleeping together, but I ask that question and it's a "no". Sometimes it's the opposite though and they get super excited as if I just proposed.
