Today, I went to my boss's dinner party. My sister, who also works with me, sat across from me at the table. I felt her kick me so I kicked her back. Then I heard something start crying. It was the boss's baby crawling under the table. FML

To be fair to OP, I wouldn't expect a baby to be let out of its parents' sight for long enough to get under a table full of people unnoticed.

Depending on how old it is, it only takes a second or two for a baby to disappear and reappear on the other end of the house!

how are did you kick to make a baby cry? I helped babysit 6 kids with my mom's friends and the 9 month old fell off the couch pretty hard and didn't cry. he made a sad sound like he was about to but stopped....

If that is your only experience with kids... Your comment is void. I'm pretty sure he was trying to kick his sister hard... Not knowing he was going to kick a baby. Good job babysitting by the way.

#29 - when my 16 year old was 2 years old he fell off the bed and I ended up having to leave work to get him 2 stitches in his nostril. He never made a sound the entire time. However, my niece cries when she sees anything that resembles any insect.

He can't see under the table so how is he supposed to know that you kicked his baby? Babies cry all the time! Just play dumb and hope the kid doesn't get a black eye.
